Two of California’s Gems: Morro Bay & Hearst Castle
We browsed around Morro Bay, a pristine small town close to Hearst Castle. It was a last chain of volcanoes. The huge rock in the background, covering 50 acres at the base and 576 feet tall, is the remains of the volcano. We loved the charming town with many sailboats tied to moorings in the bay. The plants were amazing! We toured William Randolph Hearst's castle, a magnificent architectural structure composed of his art collection from the period of BC to the 1930's. Th

Our last California Coastal Adventure: Oceanside/ Carlsbad Ca
October 22-24 2023: Reflecting on our time in Carpenteria, its hard to imagine a nicer place with its small, pristine town. But, we headed on down the road south along the coast. With so many people and so much traffic, it took most of the day to drive through L. A. We both agreed we were grateful to make it through the city to our lovely campground in Oceanside, Ca. It was a jewel of a campground with a pool, hot tub (where we made new friends), gas fire pits, and a specia

California! We made it to the Coastal Redwood Forest😀
Leaving Nevada, we drove through the beautiful winding mountains of Oregon, where we saw real cowboys herding cows! There were many cattle ranches along the way Entering California, we saw the remains of raging forest fires. There was alot of equipment trying to salvage some of the redwoods. It was a sad sight. Eventually, the forest turned green and beautiful again with tall, sturdy redwoods. The campground was beautiful with lots of privacy as we were surrounded

Playing In The Land of Celebrities!
Santa Barbara, Montevito, & Carpenteria, California October 20-22., 2023 Wow, just wow! The beauty of the Pacific Ocean meeting the mountains was amazing. With the city and surrounding towns nestled in the valley of the mountains, there were beautiful views all around. Although we were a bit disappointed none of the celebrities showed up for lunch with us on famous State Street, it was thrilling to explore their city. This area is home to many celebrities: Kevin Costner, Opr

Rocky Mountain High ♥️
Arriving in Steamboat Springs, Co on Friday was magical with its bustling downtown area, cool campground, and gorgeous Aspen trees lining the rapidly flowing river. The downtown district was home of electic shops, art galleries, and restaurants. We spent Friday walking through the city Saturday was a biking day for us on the beautiful Yampa River Trail that wound through the city along the river, over bridges, and through tunnels. It was stunning with the fall foilage and

Miles of Windmills lead to Santa Rosa, New Mexico
The roads leading to New Mexico were lined with miles of cotton fields turning into miles of windmills with occasional huge mounds of red clay. After 6 hours, we arrived at the campground, set upon camp, and went for a walk about. Ouch! 💕 Follow along at www.lovingpetite.com for more adventures, fun with food, petite fashions over 60, and Georgia Vacation Rentals.

Airstream International Rally 2024- Sedalia, Missouri
The 2025 Airstream International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri was full of surprises! Upon arrival, we knew this would be a huge event with over 1,000 Airstreams camping at the Missouri Fairgrounds. Our Campsite-Doug and Belinda One of our favorite events was the Vintage Airstream Show. They held a parade and then allowed everyone to tour the airstreams. They had to be 25 years old to be considered vintage. It was amazing to see how people had worked so hard to res

Sonoma and Napa Wine Country💕
We entered the beautiful rolling hills of the vineyards. As gorgeous as they were from a distance, the close up view was even more amazing with clusters of grapes hanging on the vines ready for harvest! We rode bikes through Sonoma valley to get an up close and personal experience with the vineyards and had a lovely picnic while watching Lili browse around and inspect all of the new smells of different plants. Lili was in heaven! We visited the oldest vineyard in California

Cows, farmland, sunflowers, sunsets, the bluest skies, and did I mention cows?
Days 4-6: Making the drive through Arkansas to Hastings, Ok was smooth riding as we admired miles of farmland dotted with large windmills. Oh my! ALOT of cows are in Oklahoma! I immediately felt like I should be decked out in full western wear complete with stirrups on my boots! Now that's a blue sky! Beautiful sunflowers danced im the wind along the roads! These lush green cedars paired with the bluest of skies were a sight as we ventured out for a bike ride to explore! The
