Summer vacations in Ellijay, Ga. are a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. You can take time to kick back, relax, and enjoy tranquility in the beautiful mountains, participate in the many activities in the resort, or set out for an exploration of waterfalls, orchards, wineries, and small town shopping in Ellijay, Ga. amd Blue Ridge, Ga. Traveling to and from the cabin requires relaxing clothes that will also double for hiking, just dont’ forget the bug spray and good lightweight hiking shoes/sneakers. You can enjoy these same outfits for exploring, or sitting around the bonfire in the evening making S’mores with the S’mores kit, firewood, and starter provided by the owners.
If you enjoy swimming in one of the indoor or outdoor pools available in the resort, bring a swimsuit or two, and don’t forget the sunscreen if you choose the outdoor pool.
If you are fortunate enough to rent a boat at Lake Blue Ridge, summer athletic clothing, swimsuits, and wind protection on chilly evenings will be beneficial. Again, dont forget the sun protection, a great hat and sunscreen!
Casual clothing is certainly acceptable, but you may want to pack a simple dress and your favorite shoes for a special date to a restaurant or winery.
Your favorite jeans and a blouse will suffice for most any activity unless it is just too hot. Don't be fooled! It does get hot in the mountains. Layers work very well to handle chilly mornings, hot days, and chilly evenings.
